Turkey-Swiss-Guac Burger
350 calories
10 g fat
(3 g saturated)
670 mg sodium
31 g carbohydrates
40 g protein
6 g fiber

YOU’LL NEED:
1 pound ground turkey: As with chicken, turkey makes a healthy, affordable protein to build meals around. Here, you’ll save nearly 100 calories a patty over the standard 80 percent beef.

4 slices Sargento Reduced Fat Swiss: Replace standard cheddar or processed American cheese with low-calorie, low-sodium Swiss.

4 Nature’s Own Whitewheat Hamburger Buns, toasted: Perfect for those not sold on whole wheat burger buns, this one has the soft white taste, but with an impressive 5 grams of fiber.

4 tablespoons Wholly Guacamole: Make guacamole your go-to secret sauce: It has more than half of the calories of mayo and three times the nutrition.

YOU’LL ALSO NEED:
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
4 Tbsp Ortega chopped green chiles
2 tomatoes, sliced
1 red onion, sliced

HOW TO MAKE IT:
1. Mix the turkey, salt, and pepper and shape into 4 patties.
2. Preheat a grill, grill pan, or cast-iron skillet. Cook the patties over medium-high heat until lightly charred on the outside, about 4 minutes, then flip.
3. Place a tablespoon of the chiles on top of each patty, then cover with a slice of Swiss. Cook until the patty is firm, about 8 to 10 minutes total.
4. Dress buns with tomato and onion slices, top with the burgers, and slather with the guacamole.
